If you’ve been following me for the last few days then you’ll know I’m buying an iPod nano 3rd Generation. If not, you can read my first post about it at https://www.geekbrigade.co.uk/2026/02/25/reclaiming-my-music-library-by-means-of-an-ipod/
So, as the iPod 3rd gen doesn’t have Bluetooth, I had to get myself a pair of wired earphones. It’s been a while! I’m so used to AirPods, they’re pretty much all I’ve used for years.
After a bit of hunting, well, around 2 minutes, I realised that Argos sell EarPods – the wired equivalent of AirPods. I bought them. They cost £19.99, I think that’s not bad.
I was surprised how tiny the box is! I remember buying earphones years ago and the packaging used to be huge and plentiful. I guess there are some good things about progress 😂
Anyway, here is my purchase:

I only hope it doesn’t take me too long to get used to being wired again. Now, I just have to wait for the arrival of my new, old toy. It should be here in the morning. I’ll be like a kid on Christmas morning!
