For some time now, I've been feeling a bit pissed off. Like many, I've been getting music through a steaming service. Spending money every month but never actually owning anything.
Today, I decided to do something about this. It's not unprompted. I currently have a modern, fancy car. It costs a fortune to run, or rather, it costs a fortune in "vehicle excise duty." So, I'm swapping it for something older. Something which probably won't have Apple Carplay or Android Auto. Well, it might - it depends what car I choose.
Anyway, I digress. The cars I'm looking at all support playing music from iPods and I still have all my old CDs so, that seems like a perfect solution.
Tonight, I ordered an iPod Nano 3rd Generation (4 gig) from CeX. It should be here within a few days and I'm really looking forward to getting it. I've not used an iPod in many years but always loved them. I still don't understand Apple's decision to get rid of them but that decision seems to have generated a lot of interest in them as "retro" devices.
I did think about ordering from eBay but I like the 5 year guarantee offered by CeX and they've never done me wrong in the past.
I'll probably post more when I receive my new, old iPod. Wish me luck! 🙂
